Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (216) 395-7336. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is growingsmilesoh.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

University Heights is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and University Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Waiting for more than 50 minutes past our scheduled appointment time was extremely frustrating. During the wait, we repeatedly asked the staff for updates, and each time we were told it would be “about 10 more minutes.” In the end, we were simply told that we could reschedule the appointment, with no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the experience with the staff was also very disappointing. The staff member performing the cleaning was not considerate of my son’s comfort. She positioned my son’s head so low that it was almost hanging off the chair. My son repeatedly complained that he was uncomfortable, but she insisted that the position allowed her to see his teeth better. I asked her how she would feel if she had to stay in that position for 15 minutes. She did not respond and only slightly adjusted my son’s head while saying that she might not be able to see his teeth as well. As a parent, I expect dental professionals to provide not only quality care but also patience, respect, and compassion—especially when treating children. The excessive wait time, poor communication, and lack of empathy made this a very disappointing experience. I hope the of

This was our first visit for my younger cousin, and it was a fantastic experience! My cousin usually cries a lot at the doctor, but she was so gentle and patient that he didn't shed a single tear. She handled him with such care—we are definitely booking all of his future appointments here!

I can’t say enough great things about this pediatric dental office! My son had crowding in his front bottom teeth, and the entire team was phenomenal from start to finish. They made sure he felt safe and comfortable the whole time, and the visit was quick and efficient. The front desk staff, manager, dental hygienists, and doctors are all top-tier professionals—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. The office is always spotless, well-organized, and welcoming. I truly trust the knowledge and care they provide when it comes to my children’s teeth. I always leave knowing their oral health is well managed and in the best hands. Highly recommend this office to any parent looking for a dental team that goes above and beyond!

Bringing your 6 year old to the dentist can be scary but the dentist Assistant Kaitlyn made my child experience one of the best he has ever had . I was a nervous wreck and she was patient with me and my son . The interaction she had with my child was so genuine as if he was her own . I feel as that made a big impact on his experience as well . From the moment he was called back to the time we received our after visit summary the experience was extraordinary . Thank you Kaitlyn making our visit one of a kind .

Growing Smiles has been an incredible experience for our family. They work exceptionally well with my child, who has a disability, always ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for. The staff is not only professional but also kind, patient, and understanding, making every visit a positive experience. Their dedication to creating a welcoming environment truly brings a smile to our faces. From the moment we walk in, we feel valued and appreciated. This is by far the best dentist for all children, and I highly recommend them to any parent looking for compassionate and top-quality dental care. Thank you, Ashley and Dr. Jong, for making my son feel at ease during his dental procedure. As a child with disabilities, dental visits can sometimes be challenging, but your warmth and compassion helped him feel safe and comfortable. You both did a wonderful job, and I truly appreciate your patience, expertise, and dedication. Your kindness made a world of difference, and I am grateful for the exceptional care you provided. ❤️
